Wall panelling and structural elements

Wall panelling and structural elements are highly exposed to the elements and can become damaged over time. They can be treated in situ or dismounted if necessary. 

19th century house

This ongoing project of the restoration of a 19th century house in les Vosges, France includes the preparation of the solid oak wood panelling to be repainted and the restoration of the floorboards and beams. The work is done in situ and the project also includes the creation of numerous pieces of furniture for the house.

St. Hedwig Krankenhaus, Berlin

The restoration of the St. Hedwig hospital in Berlin involved the front entrance doors and tympanum, secondary entrance doors and directors room with built-in cabinets and monumental table. The ensemble dated from the late 19th century to the mid 20th century. The doors were thoroughly cleaned, filled and glued where necessary, retouched, tinted and finished with a protective oil and wax finish. Missing sculpted elements were replaced with hand sculpted oak. The cabinets in the directors room were cleaned, glued, retouched, tinted and finished with a protective oil and wax finish.
